Welcome to Homeschool Managed.
Homeschool Managed is a Parent Workflow Intelligence Platform designed to help homeschool families turn the mental load of managing home and school life into a clear, structured system. We take privacy seriously — not as a legal formality, but because the families who use this platform are sharing real, personal details about their children, their households, and their lives. That trust is not taken lightly.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and what choices you have. By using Homeschool Managed, you agree to the terms outlined here.

2. Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to:
Parents and guardians who create and manage a Homeschool Managed account
Children who interact with the student-facing task view within a parent's account
Homeschool Managed accounts are created and owned by parents or guardians. Children do not create their own accounts. All data associated with a child's task view is created, controlled, and managed by the parent or guardian who holds the account.
3. Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
Name and email address
Account password (stored securely via Supabase Auth — we do not have access to your password in plain text)
Brain dump content — the unfiltered, natural language input you submit to Clara. This may include children's names, ages, grade levels, curriculum details, behavioral and learning notes, household schedules, extracurricular activities, chore assignments, and any other family context you choose to share
Student profile information — names, ages, independence levels, support type settings (neurotypical or ND Support), and task visibility preferences
Curriculum and task data generated from your brain dump
Settings and preferences you configure within the platform
Any updates or additions you submit through Talk to Clara
Automatically Collected Information
Device type and browser
IP address
Pages visited, interactions, and time spent on the platform
City-level location data (collected through Google Analytics for regional analytics purposes)
Payment Information
Payments will be processed through Stripe when paid plans launch. We do not store payment card details on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data directly. During the current beta period, no payment information is collected.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Create and manage your account
Process your brain dump through Clara and generate a structured family plan
Display the parent dashboard, student task views, and all platform features
Carry tasks forward automatically and apply your household settings
Communicate with you about your account, platform updates, and support
Analyze site and platform usage to improve features and performance
Ensure the security and integrity of the platform
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
5. Brain Dump Content — Special Notice
The brain dump is the most personal information you share with Homeschool Managed. It may include details about your children's learning needs, neurodivergent diagnoses or suspected diagnoses, behavioral patterns, family schedules, and household dynamics.
We treat this content with the highest level of care:
Brain dump content is stored in your household account only
No other user or household can access your brain dump data
Brain dump text is processed by Clara (powered by Anthropic's Claude API) for the sole purpose of generating your structured family plan
We do not use brain dump content to train AI models
We do not share brain dump content with third parties beyond the technical processors described in this policy
All stored brain dump records are scoped exclusively to your household account
6. AI and Data Processing
Homeschool Managed uses artificial intelligence to power Clara, the AI at the center of the platform.
How it works:
When you submit a brain dump, your text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API via a secure server-side function. Claude processes the text and returns structured data — student profiles, curriculum details, task templates, and a personal message from Clara. That structured output is then stored in your Homeschool Managed account.
What this means for your data:
Your brain dump text is transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing
Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy and terms of service, available at anthropic.com
We have configured this integration to use your data only for generating your plan output — not for model training
The Claude API call is made through a secure server-side function, meaning your data is never exposed directly to the browser during processing
Clara does not make planning decisions. All scheduling, task generation, prioritization, and spillover logic runs on Homeschool Managed's own systems. Clara only structures the input you provide.
7. Data Storage and Security
Homeschool Managed uses Supabase to store and manage all platform data. Supabase is a trusted database and authentication provider built on PostgreSQL infrastructure.
How your data is protected:
All data is stored in your household account and scoped exclusively to that account. No household can ever access another household's data. This is enforced at the database level through Row Level Security — a technical control that makes cross-household data access structurally impossible, not just policy-prohibited.
Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Passwords are not stored in plain text.
The Claude API key used for AI processing is stored as a server-side secret and is never exposed in the browser or frontend code.
All data transmissions occur over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
No system is 100% secure. While we take meaningful technical steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. By using the platform, you acknowledge this inherent risk.
8. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with the following third-party providers to operate the platform. Each is chosen carefully and expected to handle data securely:
You can review each provider's privacy practices at their respective websites. We do not share your data with any other third parties except as required by law.
9. Children's Privacy
Homeschool Managed is designed for parents and guardians. All accounts are created and managed by adults.
Children interact with the platform only through the student task view — a simplified display of their daily tasks within their parent's account. Children do not create accounts, submit personal information directly, or interact with Clara.
All data associated with a child within the platform — name, age, task settings, curriculum — is entered by the parent or guardian and remains under the parent's account and control.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 outside of the parent-managed account structure described above. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us outside of this structure, please contact us at info@homeschoolmanaged.com and we will promptly address it.
10.Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active.
If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information and household data from our active systems. Some information may be retained in backup systems for a limited period before permanent deletion.
Brain dump records are retained as part of your account history to support platform functionality and troubleshooting. They are deleted when your account is deleted.

11. Your Choices and Rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about your account
Correct or update inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt out of non-essential communications
Limit analytics data collection by disabling cookies in your browser or using the Google Analytics opt-out tool at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Texas Residents
Homeschool Managed is based in Texas. Texas residents may have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), including the right to know what personal data is collected, the right to correct or delete that data, and the right to opt out of certain data uses. We use cookies and similar technologies to:

Understand how visitors use the site through Google Analytics
Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous data about site interactions. This includes pages visited, time on site, device type, and city-level location. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google through this process.
You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect platform functionality, including your ability to stay logged in. You may also opt out of Google Analytics specifically at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
13. Beta Period Notice
Homeschool Managed is currently in beta. During this period:
The platform is free to use with no credit card required
The founder may have direct access to account data for the purpose of providing hands-on support, troubleshooting, and improving the platform
Some processes that will eventually be fully automated may involve manual review during beta
Features and data practices may evolve as the platform develops
We are committed to transparency during this period and will update this policy as practices change.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active users directly.
15. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
